    Default 10th Anniversary Shave

Herder #50 razor in Max’s Blue Paua scales
    Kanayama 80.000 strop
J & T monster badger brush in pure ebony
    Mitchell’s Wool Fat shaving soap
Proraso green tea and oats balm
    Hot shower
    Alpine absolue cream
    Clubman Pinaud After Shave

Tunes: John Coltrane & Johnny Hartman
    Refreshments: Guinness Special Export

    Gents,
Today exactly is my tenth year on this forum. I picked these fine items for today’s shave. They mean a lot to me. Ten years ago, I knew nothing. Mistaking a not-so factory edge on a Heljestrand for shave ready; nearly ripping my face open. Gradually learning with help from the great members here to hone my first Henckels 14 to perfection on my first Coticule. Acquiring a multitude of razors over the years, some that I kept, some I’ve sold. Learning bit by bit which size and hollowness suits me best and that I can even master a Jnat hone. It has been a fun ride so far and I’ve learned heaps from you. As you know my favorite section is this one; the SOTD. I really enjoy the eye-candy every day.
Here’s hoping to be part of this for many more years to come!

    Cheers!

Congrats on the 10 year anniversary. Time goes by fast. I'm a member of an Audiophile forum where I just hit 10 years and 15k posts. BTW, I love your taste in Jazz. Coltrane is certainly a classic as is the last Balladeer, Johnny Hartman. Jazz is my genre. I've got about 1,000 vinyl albums and 2,000 CD and FLAC files. I need to start posting my shaving music more.

    Aloha!

Thank you for your kind words gentlemen.

Zipzop, that is an impressive collection!
I don’t really have a genre. My music taste is all over the place. I can jump in one hour from Rachmaninoff to Slayer on to Billy Holiday and via Musa Eroglu back to Lee Scratch Perry and even Katy Perry for that matter. Did I forget Skrillex?
