Halloween Shave:
Prep: Hot Shower & wash w/ Dr. Brommer's
Brush: Rooney 1/2
Soap/Cream: Mama Bear's Unscented w/ small snurdle of Proraso cream
Razor: C-MON Blackie
Aftershave: Thayer's
Second shave with the razor after receiving it back from honing by Max. First shave felt a little off, as I didn't strop it before the shave. After 30 on the linen and 50 on the horsehide, this thing just wiped the hair off my face. Absolutely fantastic edge, and left me unbelievably smooth with no cuts, knicks, or any irritation to speak of. Ended up face lathering, just tossed a bit of the Proraso on the top of the soap, got it on the brush, and then lathered. Excellent results, I think I'll be doing that more often!
Brush: Butterscotch Hoffritz Chubby
Razor: Manhattan Cutlery Co.
Soap: SCS Matcha Green Tea
AS: Thayer's Witch Hazel
I love SCS products! :)
There are some razors that you can move around with so much confidence that there is no fear. The 7/8 TI with Horn scales is one of those. Perfect balance and always a great shave.

4 blades reaching for sublime tonight after trick or treating with the Little Man dressed as a ferocious lion.
150 yr old Wm Greaves & Son 7/8 notch point wedge
100 yr old E. A. Berg 6/8 frame back
50? yr old Thiers Issard 5/8 frame back
brand new Filarmonica 7/8 1/2 hollow spike
Each blade got 10-12 laps on linen, 60 laps on red latigo, 3-4 laps on my lathered Honemeister barber hone and then another 30 laps on my Illinois 361.
My face was lathered throughout. The soap was rich and creamy by the time the shave came around. The E. A. Berg was performing best so it got the honours.
The penultimate use of my TGQ Leatherneck soap. I must order more soon.
Thayers Witch Hazel Skin Astringent w. Aloe as AS
SRP Limited Edition Tobacco AS Balm. mmmmm
All blades got rubbing alcohol cleaning and the E A Berg then got 12 laps on the 361 leather. The other three are going back to the stones to reach nirvana.
