A BBS start of a Monday morning. :)
Monday's shave:
TOBS Lemon & Lime Shaving Cream
Kent BLK2 Pure Badger brush
6/8 Le Grelot 1/4 grind
Alum Block
Acqua di Parma Lozione Tonica
Smoothy, may I ask how do you get on with the TOBS Lemon/Lime SC?
I use it every so often and am never pleased, it seems to dry my skin a little and I always have a little burn after?
Thank you, Best wishes Ralfy

Beard Prep: Hot wash/Conditioner
Razor: Metropol 6/8 Hamburg Ring
Strop: Dovo, 20 Canvas/60 Leather
Brush: Italian Boar (Yeah its a Men-U but that name make me CRINGE!)
Soap: TOBS Lemon/Lime SC
Astringent: Alum Block
AS: Diesel "Fuel for Life"
Result: 6/10
Conclusion: I keep trying TOBS and really really want to get on with, however I dont and that makes me a sad Ralfy, it dries out to quick, and I always always get burn, the glide is not great either IMHO.
I do wish I could use it and enjoy it, but I must say my shave today was a little spoiled :(
Good day, Gentlemen!
Soap: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet milled into Old Spice mug
Brush: Rudy Vey 24mm custom Desert Ironwood #2
Razor: The Pistachio Friodur
AS: Osage Rub
EDT: Geo. F. Trumper's Curzon
Today, I discovered if I swirl the tip of the wet brush gently in the Penhaligon's for a few seconds, then transfer the brush to a secondary "latherizing" container (another Old Spice mug in this case) then I get a much more satisfying foam than by either face-lathering or bowl-lathering alone. What a great discovery, and a wonderful shave! Cheers, fellas!

Me to! works like a dream everytime, I use an English "Denby" small desert bowl, and if I am being extra posh I sit that in a Pyrex glass bowl with hot water between the 2, Mmmm warm Lather every pass
I cant get lather that good off the Puck, or Mixed on my face, no way.
You convinced me. I just cut the Kells out of my EJ bowl and melted it into some Gladware. I'm looking forward to the next shave. Great lather and I should have thebigspendur's Japanese straight to try. It is going to be (hopefully) great.
