Ok,
My good friend 59caddy (Scott) sent me this Gold Monkey, shave ready, I'm not exactly sure what size it is, it's kinda nice and hefty I want to say that it's a 6/8ths maybe even larger, got a great shave from this one, Thanks Scott :tu
I also got something from my other good friend Gunner777 (Phil) and he sent me a tube of his favorite shaving cream, MEM Olive, this stuff is kind of hard to get from Israel, it is really great stuff, Thanks Phil :tu
Prep with the 'Robeson' method with my G5 scuttle and the Ogallala Bay Rum with Sandalwood, Thanks to Max for turning us on to this :tu
Used my trusty and beautiful fave Edwin Jagger medium silvertip with clear acrylic handle (no longer made) from the English Shaving Co. :tu
Finish with Ogallala Bay Rum After Shave, awesome stuff :tu

Fantastic day and a half shave! Thanks to all for everything, all the help goodies and advice along the trail. :bow

Ya, heck, I've looked around a little too, even just trying to find one that is very similar in appearence, wouldn't mind having another one, the one that I got was a clearance item. :(

Hi Hogrider: No the scales are plastic, but for about USD 5 on the Swedish ebuy, not too bad :) It looks smaller than my TI "Pierre Thiers" that is 5/8, but I haven't measured it yet.

The mug I inherited from my Granddad, whom I remember used it (with Old Spice) when I was a kid in the early 70ies. I love it, and use it every day.

Cream - La Toja Sensitive/glycerin (I gave this another shot and I think I just might not like it...I was trying to decide whether or not the scent was going to be something that I would acquire a liking for or it just was too "earthy" for me. Last night I decided it was just too much. I also think that it's a bit "foamy", whereas the Proraso, which is my fave everyday, is more on the "creamy" side...much more to my liking.)

The rocks and rubbles around the trout are from The Big Horn, The Beaverhead, The Missouri, The Ruby, The Jefferson, The Big Hole and various norwegian trout streams.

ASB: Erasmic PSB I didnt even know they made one!
AS : Pashana Bay Rum

Result: BBS!

Post Shave Drink: Sparkling Water, that Curry is sitting a Little Heavy!
Post Shave Smoke: Hand rolled Samson Tobacco moistened with a little Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum

Conclusion: Mmm still not sure on the Robeson Method, I think I prefer the prorasso preshave, although my face is nice and soft.
and another fave is:
load my brush with thick lather, lather face, strop whilst the lather softens my beard, add a little hot water to my brush,
then use it on my already lathered face, and shave, each pass with a good brush and soap I can just add a little water and, as the lather thins out, the shave stays smooth and slick.

The Erasmic Balm is Kick Ass! and it smells like the cream too! watch this space for an all Erasmic Shave, Hoggy you just gotta let me send you a tube brother!

I've been posting sporadically in SOTD this last week because I learning how to hone with a coticule. It's day sixth, baby, so I finished honing my razor per Bart's newbie sharpening lesson. The result was spectular, the hairs drop off my face before the blade hit them....O.K...that's a load of BS. The end result was average at best, I really need to work on my honing skills, but I really enjoyed it and that's the real payoff. Now, I need a sig line..how bout this...Bdom, dulling razors since 2009, if I can't make it dull.. nobody can!
