Been a while since I've posted here, but I have a short story to share.
Thursday's Shave
Soap: Conk Almond
Brush: Rooney
Razor: DOVO Best Quality 5/8
AS: Aqua Velva
ASB: Nivea
I bought this razor from Vintage Blades a couple years ago. (back when you had to pay extra for honing, so I did) This was my first razor, and always one of my favorites. When nothing else seemed to work, it did. Anyways, long story short, the faucet found the blade a couple times, and I decided to make this my "practice my honing skills" razor. I've been working on this thing on and off for at least a month, with lots of trial, error, and ouch. Last night I finally got it right. Got it out this morning to test it and see where I was, and wound up doing the entire shave with it. I'm not 100% sure what I did, but now she's back to her original sharpness and smoothness. Thank you all for all the helpful information on this site! I would have never been able to get this thing to shave again without reading the honing info here. This place rocks!

I'm pretty impressed with the little Kent brush... a wee bit of a thing with a short loft, but doing a great job with both soaps and creams.
The Morley blade is one of the best in the stable.
Today was a first try for an after shave balm, so the jury is still out... I'll judge after a week or so, but it feels great on the skin!
