After a near disaster on the Tony Miller strop (a bad nick) the Solingen felt smooth throughout the shave. I haven't used the Valobra in a very long time but it yielded a terrific lather that led to a very good two pass plus touch up shave. I've been using a straight on a more regular basis and I think my technique is coming along well.

Results: It ain't scrapping your face with a cheeze grater and goo that's for sure! What a wonderful experience! Shaves like this are what makes a man feel Top Dollar! The Joseph Rodgers is the second oldest razor I have and, it is definately the sharpest and smoothest shaver of the rotation. This old girl is taking wonderful care of me! :)

Here's a pic of a friend's young (and very talented) Setter pointing old scent. While a dog with experience should be able to distinguish fresh scent from old, and this behavior would be a fault, it's great to see in a pup at this stage of development use it's nose to this extent, and this little Setter has style to burn!
BTW, to reiterate, the pigeons are none the worse for wear! The pigeons are very useful and valuable to us in our work!
