Razor choice was rather easy as I only have two Sheffield blades the W&B *Special* won out over the Bengal this morning...
The Uberlather was "British Garden" made with Castle Forbes Lavender cream and TOBS Lavender soap and a few drops of glycerin...
The shave was topped off with TOBS Bay Rum...
I of course hummed "Hail Britiania" as I shaved :p :p

Razor: W&B Special
Soap: MdC
Brush: Vie-Long Badger
Post: Alum and Harris Arlington Splash
I like the theme. Gave me a good reason to hone up the W&B. I just recieved a vintage Escher and this was the first razor I finished with it. I am very pleased with the results. I am looking forward to learning this stone better.
Great shave. Some minor irritation on the neck with the alum. I was a little heavy handed...this razor requires a little more finesse.
The MdC is just a pleasure to use. No hassle creamy, thick lather. More than enough for my standard 3 pass. The scent...just fills the bathroom...as if you are now shaving in the French countryside. The best part...your face feels beautiful after.
What is there to say about Arlington that hasn't already been said.
Overall...just a great shaving experience.
Hopefully, some pictures for the next one.
Enjoy your day,
Code
Beautiful shot and razor Robert. Matt's one re-scaled by Max is stunning also. It may be that a W&B restored and re-scaled by Max is the ultimate in cool razors.
Then on the other end of the spectrum...
I love the patina on this one, a beautiful razor Fonti.
So many beautiful razors boys. Keep 'em coming.

Result: My only W&B is on vacation with GSSixgun, so today it is the D.C. Halsted Wedge. This sweet piece of Sheffield steel wiped away 2 days growth with ease, I only did 1 pass and some touch up. A very enjoyable shave.
There are some amazing razors on display already, and this is just day 1! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!
Glenn
Razor: Dovo
Soap: Nancy Boy!
Brush: Persian Jar 1
Post: Dominica Bay Rum
Bringing the Nancy Boy cream to the forefront here...it really made this an exceptional shave.
Undoubtedly (for me) one of the slickest, thickest creams available - like warm yogurt on the bristles.
Nice to have a few more minutes on a Sunday...

Fonti,
Another beautiful Celebrated my friend. Well done an nice choice
Hey Bill,
Plain maybe, but definitely classy. Interesting soap too. Eagerly awaiting to hear back from you later this week.
Hehehe...I love this Bow and yes, Max certainly knows his scales and blades.
I love this shot Teiste. Very nice.
Glen,
I would have paid good money to see this and a video would be entered into "America's Funniest Videos" and sure to win the grand prize, LOL.
Nice shave and gear
Thanks Sachin
Code,
Welcome to SOTD (I think this is the first time I've seen your post). Great shave (+ gear too). A French/English mix. I like it. Stones are fun to learn. I love my naturals too. Everytime, there's something new to be learned
Thanks Grant. Matt's is amazing too.
Nice blade Dan.
Thank you for the very kind words Mark. But, I also LOOOOOVE my Frameback (the Big fat one, LOL). It is one smooth shaver.
Glenn,
Talk about bad timing...But, this Halsted seems to have more than made up for the W&B being MIA. Well done
Oooooh Yeaaaaahh. I love NancyBoy. Nice lather. One of the first cremes I got and still love (despite the name). Glad to see there's someone else thinking the same.
I know what you are going to bring out, LOL. Can't wait (with pictures, right?)
The Sheffields are all getting a makeover so this one is not themed for SOTD, but is is themed to me as shaving with my first restored razor done by me.

Caballeros, what a Sunday! So many great photos, so much awesome gear!
Thanks a lot, I just knew this week would be awesome:)
Monday 14/3/11
Today I will have a French inspired day. Started with heating a Schwartzweisskeramic XL scuttle with really hot water and putting a Simpson Emperor 2 in the water reservoir. So out in the living room finding a CD with Eric Satie`s Gymnopedies, wonderful shaving music. Back to the bathroom, preparing my face with hot water and some Fitjar Black Nyasha soap to soften the beard. Time has come for stropping the French razor T-I Crown Silverwing 11/16 on my Ambrose strop. Now on to the lather, today I took a touch of Fitjar Neroli soap on the brush, then some Castle Forbes Lime and went to work in the big SW. The result was a bomb of the finest smell in my bathroom. This hot premium lather felt wonderful and warm on my tired face and really got me awake:) It is OK to be just that when you have a Straight razor in your hand! 4 passes later and some Fitjar Neroli aftershave cream I felt ready for the new day after a perfect straight shave. I think a bottle of champagne and Ravel`s Bolero will round the day off nicely this evening!
Excellent shaves and pictures in this thread, thank you all and have a great day!

Result: This is my first Fili and she was waiting for me when I got home from traveling on Friday. I'm a big fan of small razors like this as they are quick and nimble with great handling. She provided a BBS shave with 0 irritation.
Gentlemen, I'm drooling over each and every blade so far this week! Job well done!!! :bow
Glenn
Okay, so I dont own any French, Swedish or Spanish razors, however I have no idea as to the origins of the Superior Razor so for the sake of the exercise lets just say its...I dont know, Spanish?:shrug:Thanks for all the great posts.
Strop: Illinois 835
Brush: Franks Finest Badger
Soap: MWF
Razor: Superior Razor Wedge
Astringent: Thayer's Lemon Witch Hazel

Result: Just 2 passes tonight but that was more than enough to keep me happy. The superior is a silent assassin, it makes almost no noise as it mows down whiskers. Another great shave. Thanks for indulging me with the Spanish thing.
Have a great day Boys.

OK, so yesterday was British razor day, I'm a little behind but this was a peach of a shave for sure.
Argus Razor/Vie-Long Horsehair/Wilkinson Sword soap/Pierre Cardin
It was a bit of work this morning to get good lather out of the Wilkinson, but after I hit the sweet spot on the H2o to soap ratio, I was rewarded with a Mega DFS. I do prefer the fancy urinal puck smell of the Wilkinson over the common urinal puck scent of Arko. :D But I like them both..:o
Gentlemen, as always Great Pictures of SOTD. The photo skills at SRP are amazing.
Nice razor. And nicely done. Congrats
Beautiful TI Tom. Nice sup too
Beautiful Setup Amund
...And he brings out the Swede. Nicely done Otto
Nice selection Birnando...Don't see those blades too often
Mikael,
I like how you mixed in French and Swedish. Very nice
Very nice Arild. Beautiful hardware and certainly some very nice music. Can't go wrong with Maurice Ravel.
Bill...What a nice start indeed. Good luck in court today.
Congratulations Glenn...Nice snatch and great shave
Grant,
I like your "Spanish" Superior. She looks great
Very nice hardware/software Frank. I am glad you like the Candre. She's a lot of soap. And the Fili: awesome rescale by Max. Very classy. I don;t blame you for having thoughts of selling off the others
Oh boy...He bring out the BIG GUN. Nice Palmera Rene
It's all gooooood.
David,
You should be the one to talk, LOL. This is a beautiful photo my friend. Fabulous shave and razor too.

Ed. #165, Hollow, French Point (Ram's Horn) Strop: 40/65 (Torolf linen/Premium IV leather) Lather: Martin de Candre Shave Soap + Glycerin Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Rose Petal, no alcohol) After Shave Balm: eShave Almond + L'Occitane "LOccitan":tu Cologne: 1967 Guerlain Habit Rouge Results: between the Swedish/Spanish and French razors, I chose the French today...specifically the TI Silverwing. She's a fantastic shaver. One heck of an edge. I received the MdC soap this past week direct from a friend from France (bypassed the usual crazy S/H $$$) and I was very very very happy. She smells amazing and the lather is even better. Off to a great start this Monday morning. Smooth and BBS face http://www.foroafeitado.com/foro/ima...ies/banana.gif.

I had a massive outbreak of irritation on my neck 24 hours after my last shave . So I did a 1 pass shave on my neck and a 2 pass on my face. My face is smoothly smooth, bit I can feel neck getting irritated. Hopefully it's healed by tomorrow morning.
Great SotD's everyone!
