Yeah, I had to locate the thread that helps us identify these Naguras, so I figured why not mark them.
Heck, I don't even know what way to read it or what is up and what is down:)

You are right, I guess it would be easy enough to learn the 4 different names for them in katana and kanjii.
And by marking them, I''m sure that the signs will eventually stick!
I found JimR explanation of what the prints mean, very helpful indeed.
Now I know what part of the print says what:)

Tonights shave included my Grandfathers old paddle strop which my Dad recently found in his garage. I gave it a little restoration and used it for the first time tonight. With a stropping area of arround 8" by 1 and 3/4 wide it is considerably smaller than my regular strops so I did 110 laps rather than my usual 60. It did the job well, a great 2 pass shave left me very smooth and clean. The razor belonged to my other Grandfather, so this was quite a special shave.
