@ Robert: thanks for your kind words earlier in the week, re the angle and approach to the skin with the straight you are correct; I'll work on it, despite only 6-7 full straight shaves so far I feel much more confident with it and -most important- I'm enjoying it very much. Great shots by the way, as usual...

An all English shave today, just to celebrate my new Polo Brush:)
Pre-Shave: Shower Brush: Simpson Polo 12, 2-band Super Badger, Knot size: 28mm Razor: Marshes & Shepherd, 10/8" horn scales. Honing Regimen: Finished on a Charnley Forest Strop: SRD Premium IV Soap/Cream:MWF Astringent: Alum After shave Balm: Truefitt & Hill Classic ASB EdT: Penhaligon's English Fern Results: A very fine shave. The Polo 12 was a very positive acquaintance. It is big, but thanks to the 2-band Super badger, it handled the MWF with a supreme ease. I've been wanting this brush for quite some time, and I'm happy it lived up to my expectations. Rule Brittania!!

Cheers Robert! Yep, itīs the 26 mm knot in two band super (or finest/best quality silvertip, Peterīs using the same grading system as Simpsons, if I remember correctly) and I think itīs brilliant and for the money itīs a bargain, in my book.Quote:

I changed things up by doing an uber with the La Toja; what was an incredible lather before became simply divine! And this little whisker assassin managed to seek out and find every last strand of facial hair. Once again, I am BBS and my face feels FABULOUS! I finished it off with a classic - Dunhill, and I'm ready for my last day of work before our two-week long vacation!

Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
AS: Aqua Velva Classic
Finish: Pierre Cardin
Great shave. The edge on this razor is not quite as crisp as I prefer but it seems to render a pretty good shave just the same. It's far from being dull, just needs some polishing up to make for a really crisp edge. I know, you haven't seen the phalic Pierre Cardin bottle since the 80's but PC is a scent I like to pull out time to time.
