Brush: 26mm Rudy Vey TGN Grade A Silvertip Badger (Kingwood scales) |
Razor: 6/8" J.R. Torrey Frameback, Wedge, Spike Point |
Honing (refresh): 6 (light) laps with CrOx on Premium Bridle IV leather |
Strop: 50 laps (Ambrose Horse Hide Clásico leather) |
Überlather: Al's "Vetiver" Shave Creme + SRD "Vetiver" Shave Soap + Glycerin |
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol) |
After Shave Balm: Sabon AS creme |
Cologne: Creed "Original Vetiver" EdT |
Results: Took out the Torrey frameback today. because of difficulty honing this baby, I had a love/hate relationship with this blade in the past (To the point that I even put her up on sale...glad there were no takers). But once I figured the trick to dialing her edge (thanks to Max' advice), it's been nothing but love http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/...ys/001_wub.gif. Quick spins around the CrOx leather strop brought her edge in the spotlight and she was certainly in the mood to shine. The Vetiver was the scent of today and aside from its wonderful aroma, the lather was glorious and abundant:tu. Delightfully clean and CBS to start a busy Saturday:y. |

This is my last SOTD for a few days as wife and I are leaving for Vegas on Sunday and for a change, I am not taking my camera, computer or any of my straights...Just my DE (let's just hope I'll remember how to use it). And yes, a visit with Max is definitely on the books.
Have a GLORIOUS Weekend and a FABULOUS next few days gents:tu.
PS: Try not to have too much fun without me :p.
