Razors: 6/8 Dovo Best Quality with Black Scales; Merkur Futur
Blade: Astra (7)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Tabac
A/S: Master Bay Rum
EDT: Polo
What a perfect opportunity to take a brand new (and new to me) razor for a spin! Saturday is the one day I typically have the time to wait until my hands won't have any problems. I also usually have the opportunity to take my time with my shave because I'm not trying to get out the house by a specific time to miss some of the morning traffic on my way to work. The Dovo was the right choice for me. It's a simple razor, but it really got the job done! The 6/8 turned out to be the right choice as well because the size was well suited to my hand, technique, etc. (developed because of my preference for my JM Schmid 6/8). Effortless 3 pass shave with minimal touch up on the neck with the Futur topped off with Master Bay Rum A/S (for that barbershop scent) and a splash of Polo to start the day out right (Polo is also my wife's favorite).
Prep: 2.5 mile run, cool shower
Razor: Texas Shumate (pre-1904)
Brush: VDH Boar
Cream: C.O. Bigelow
AS: Aqua Velva Classic
Finish: English Leather Cologne
Nice run this morning and a nicer shave. 2 passes N-S then S-N, great shave. The fetching Mrs. GI said I smelled very nice when I emerged from the shave cave. I'll just let English Leather work its magic for the rest of the day. It could be an interesting evening.

This rather unassuming razor, after a visit to Mr. Shapton XVI, provided an amazing 2 pass shave that may be one of my all time top 3 shaves. I expected a good 3 pass BBS experience but was really amazed. I'll have to move it up to the top drawer of my razor chest.
