If you get the opportunity, Alt-Innsbrook has a very nice menthol kick to it and a wonderful fragrance are well.

Prep: Hot Shower / Proraso pre-post creme
Brush: AOS Pure Badger
Soap: Proraso SS/Real Shave Co SC
Razor: Mystery 11/16" in FWE Scales
Post: Proraso AS / Real Shave Co ASB
Result: BBS but not thrilled with the soap combo. Been trying out the Real Sahve Co products, while they are economically priced, they don't seem to perform as well for me as some comparable creams although I like the scent.

Have a nice day, Gentlemen

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Peter Omae of Kenya won the men's race and Zsofia Erdelyi of Hungary grabbed first on the women's side as Sunday's Las Vegas Marathon finished up at night for the first time.
Monday
Merkur Futur
Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum (2)
Altesse Badger
Omega Soap
Aqua Velva
Day two of blade test and switched to my goto DE: my polished chrome Merkur Futur. The Futur with the Gillette blade delivered a wonderful shave in 2 passes that I stretched to 3 because it was feeling so great! So far, I'm really liking these blades. I just have to see how many shaves I can get out of one before I decide if I'd want to buy 100 of them somewhere down the line (there are only a handful of blades I would buy in bulk)

Having read Amund's post using mineral oil on the Coticule to finish an edge, I modified the approach somewhat and used lather instead. The end result should be the same, i.e., the edge is amazingly sharp and smooth http://badgerandblade.com/vb/images/...ys/001_wub.gif(I never had this good of a result with the Coticule...Thanks Amund :bow). Combined with the Acca Kappa, this blade delivered an outstanding shave today. I am a very happy camper:tu.

Today's SOTD comes to you from the not so sunny Redneck Riviera (panhandle of Florida).
Prep: Hot Shower
Razor: 1960 Gillette Fat Boy (@7) with a new Personna Blade
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Arko Shavestick
AS: Hotel Body Lotion
Finish: Aqua Velva Classic
My hotel room was oddly soapless so the morning shower included an Arko shavestick used in the body soap role. Just another argument for using shaving soap I suppose. It wasn't luxurious but didn't do a bad job and left me feeling fairly clean and refreshed. My bride is flying into Pensacola around lunch time and then the long death march (7+ hour) drive back to Casa GI. Aloha!
