    Jeff aka Mvcrash had asked me if he could be the first to post his SOTD of the year. Being the sweatheart he is I couldn't say no . I took the opportunity to skip a shave as I didn't have enough stubble to have a decent shave anyways and even if I did I doubt I would have been able to safely handle a strop and razor on new years eve.
    New Years Shave
    Prep: Hot shower, warm oil, Stephan's rubbed into the whiskers.
    Scuttle: Dirty Bird
    Razor: Maxtom, Spanish Point, 13/16, 3/8 hollow, G10 Jade Ghost tapered with a Bloody Red Jasper Stone tapered wedge
    Brush: Custom Badger Brush
    Soap: Mitchell's Woolfat
    Strop: Ambrose 50 linen/50 leather
    AS: Aramis
    EDC: Aramis

    A most excellent shave, most bodacious.

    I did the "JaNorton 2012" thing and took the edge of the Klas Törnblom (by running it across my magnifying glass twice). The routine is here. I hadn't shaved since Christmas day, so I was quite looking forward to it.

    The newly honed Törnblom (Norton 4/8 only) worked well; doing a WTG and ATG with no probs at all. Loved it.

    This year I plan to be healthier in mind, body and spirit, and to try and live more in the 'now'...

    Razor: Klas Törnblom
    Pre Shave: Sukin facial moisturiser on the face and beard in the shower + Proraso
    Überlather: La Toja (sensitive) + Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad + glycerine
    ASB: Witch Hazel + Proraso Liquid Cream After Shave
    After Shave: Pinaud Clubman + Burberry "The Beat" eau de toilette
