I bought the Parker Shavette before I got my first straight, used it a couple times last year, then the straights kept coming in and it has been unused ever since. So this was the first time in almost a year using it.
It delivered a super shave, quite a bit better than when I was a noob :)
So this mornings shave brings out the Test Razor after Honing #31 :p
That whole story was here http://straightrazorpalace.com/advan...-theories.html
I brought the Kamisori up though the hones went with the Gray WHIG and finished with the Green WHIG last night.. Second test on a Solingen razor with the Purple WHIG and the Green WHIG Much nicer shave this morning with the Green then the Purple BUT I did a really nice Uberlather too so I have to re-test with my normal fast soap only lather to make sure.. There are just so many variables with a good shave hehehe
Uberlather: Classic Violet soap / Trumpers Violet cream / 5 drops Glycerin
Brush: Restored Old Spice 24mm Silvertip Badger
Razor: 5/8 Kamisori #306
Strop: After honing standard 50/100 Illinois #827
Shave: 2 pass
A/S: Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
Results: near BBS and pretty darn comfortable
