Just a haircut today:
Prep: Hot Water Wash
Razor: Lecran Cutlery
Brush: VDH Boar
Soap: Clearly Natural Aloe Vera
AS: Homemade Lemon Grass Witch Hazel
I generally only hit the dome once a week on Sunday. It's a great test of a razors edge and this one did just fine. Didn't even bother to clipper this down but the Lecran handled it in fine style. The spud is BBS.
Last week I shaved with these guys exclusively. It wasn't planned...but in retrospect it turns out I only used American made razors. Attachment 114527
I like my Germans too, but I've been hooked on big steel lately.
Good morning friends,
I start this week with my Maxterpiece

I was excited on Friday to receive this new razor from CelcticCrusader (aka Jamie), who restored it with some beautiful honey horn scales. When I saw it posted for sale, it immediately grabbed my eye, but pictures cannot possibly do it justice. I'm sure all of you have seen how impeccable his razors look in the SOTD. And I am here to tell you that if this is any indication, a picture is definitely worth a thousand words!
The Iron Duke paired well with some DRH Windsor and a Manchurian Rover to give me a wonderful two pass BBS!

Another great shave with this razor after a light touch up on the hones. The Pannacrema performed flawlessly and it's a great start to a busy week.
Have a Great Monday Gents!

Amazing how quickly the weekends fly by. It always seems like about 15 minutes between driving home on Friday and driving in on Monday. I probably shouldn't complain though, there's more than a few folks that would be plenty glad to have a job to be driving to. Have a great Monday fellas.
Pre = Alum block
Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Brush - TBS pathetic er ah I mean synthetic
Soap - Arko in a bowl
Razor - Wostie "Peerless" 5/8
Post = Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel
Strange shave this morning. It was good and close but annoying because I was using a TBS synthetic brush. I never have irritation on my cheeks but did this morning thanks to the brush and face lathering I felt some there. I'll be using that brush the rest of the week just to give it a fair go before I chuck it back to the SWMBO to use putting on make up. It will take a minor miracle to get to like this thing. Have a good start to your week.
