Arabian Spice Shaving Soap, Chelsea's Soap Garden - Natural Handmade Soap
(*Gift from SRP) My new favorite is the Arabian Spice. The scents of ginger, cinnamon and vanilla in the latter were a slight overpowering for my liking. It is a softer soap than many of the glycerin soaps I have tried.
Overall, a great soap.
Have a nice day,
Béla
Once again...the beautiful Castagnon I got from a friend in Spain.

Thursday
A warm, humid night (27 degrees) and already dripping with sweat after showering meant a cold water shave seemed very logical and inviting, so I got a jug of cold water from the fridge to shave with. It was excellent. I’ve tried a cold water shave before, but not icy cold water on a hot day.
Sometimes I look at this Jernbolaget in its daggy scales and (I think) artistic patina (by me) and I think it’s ugly, and then I look at it again and I think it’s beautiful.
The Proraso and Floïd always complement each other nicely; and went so well with the warm morning/cold water shave scenario.
Twelve days until Christmas. I’ve gotta get a whole HEAP of those Christmas elf things that Unit was talking about and scatter them around, because as far as I can tell not only is my son getting coal for Christmas but he’s headed straight to hell as well, and with the end of the world here soon (thank goodness) I’d better get active with helping him out of his dilemma. Hope you’re all being good, I hear those elves are real dibber dobbers.
(some of you may need to Google ‘fridge’, ‘daggy’ and ‘dibber dobbers’; I refuse to ‘mainstream’ my vernacular)

Thanks, I honestly had not even noticed...I guess I am pretty mouthy;)
Perhaps some day it will earn a badge of some sort for me...I would like to think there was some quality among that quantity:D
As for SOTD.
I have been pretty stuck on one razor this week (the custom that my wife had made for me and gave me as an early Christmas present). Except for Sundays (reserved for my grandpas heirloom razor), this will probably be used most of the time for quite a while:D

I think it is as perfect as a razor can be (relative to what **I** like)...truth told, she really wanted a burl handle, but sadly it broke in production...I am not at all disappointed with the olive wood!

* Gillette 1934 Aristocrat
* Polsilvers
* Frank Shaving synthetic 24/48mm
* Mike's Lemongrass + Eucalyptus
* Thayers
* Unrefined Shea Butter
Pre - Alum block
Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
Soap - Vitos Red
Razor - Schulze stainless 6/8
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel
Close and clean. I enjoy using my stainless razors and don't find them harsh. The SOC is the only 2 band badger I have but can see getting another as it is soft on the face with enough backbone to give a good face massage. Have a good one.

Thank you my friend! :)

Today; a gorgeous day for an execution! Little Jimmy, can you spell “Trepidation?” Yes, teacher;”DARWIN!” “Why??” “That's the scariest thing I’ve ever see’d!!”
As for the shave? good, close, and I do have a high amount of respect for those in the days of yore! Shhheeeesh! There is a set screw built into the hollow ground blade to adjust the edge exposure, and it somewhat mitigated the aggressiveness. Would I shave with it again? possibly.............

Sorry haven't posted in a while. Been sorting out the Mappin Bros. I took today with the Hart and I still have work to do on the Mappin. Finally found out the problem. There is a warp in the toe. I think I will be reseting the bevel so that this can be taken care of. Other than than that great shave. Liking my new soap. AoS Sandalwood finally ran out.
Here is yesterday's, forgot to upload the photo.
MNS Vetiver, FS "chubby" Max's 9/8, a little splash of Royall, finished off with some Guerlain's.
4 day growth=no problem.

Awesome shave tonight. Ready for what awaits me!!!
Friday
Another icy cold water shave this morning, as it was still a little warm and humid. The lather was thin and inefficient unfortunately, maybe the Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn doesn't like cold water or maybe it was just me. The shave itself was pretty good though; just a single pass.
It was back to the gym at lunchtime and I'm glad it was! Off indoor rock climbing (bouldering) again tomorrow morning...

Back home again.....and as it is the season of goodwill...I have a function this evening. This morning was a quick maintenance shave. 2 passes and probably a DFS+
Pre - Alum block
Strop - 2 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
Soap - Arko in a bowl
Razor - Carl Schlieper "High Class" 6/8
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel
Every time I use Arko it reminds me that it is one of the slickest soaps I have used with terrific glide for a smooth comfortable shave. Good solid shave, hope yours is/was too.

This morning I broke out the vetiver. Jabonman's Haitian Vetiver is a wonderful addition to the shave den and I find myself almost hoarding it! Today the Rover whipped up a fragrant froth that left my face feeling almost as good as the den smelled! And the Wostenholm frameback did exactly what it was designed to do, it wiped away the lather and took the stubble right with it. Two passes and some clean up later, and I'm ready to tie my bow tie and head to court!
