Gentlemen, here is today's shave bill:
Razor: Superior Razor, Sheffield, 5/8 wedge with barber's notch
Strop: Illinois 127
Brush: Thater 24 mm silvertip
Cream: Xpec Original
Pre-shave: Castle Forbes
Scuttle: Moss
Face lather
Alum
Witch hazel
Balm: Some artisan stuff that doesn't end
Aftershave: Spanish Leather by Trumper
Belated Sunday night post
Wm Hargreaves & Co razor - generic silvertip badger brush - LaToja sc - cold water splash - Acca Kappa 1869 AdC
A fine shave. The Hargreaves is nearly shave ready. Under the right angle she already is, but I feel there's more to gain. Expecting my first Thuringian stone this week, so expect the edge to refine still.
Prep: hot shower
Brush: Simpson Polo 8
Razor: C V Heljestrand B K 42 + GEM (for head)
Soap/AS: Tabac
Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Uberclean :D
This Helje's a sweeet shaver, but I was banned from our daughters room due to smelling Tabac :(

Good morning y'all! Today's shave involved my first use of my wife's Valentine's gift to me, the Tradere safety bar DE. People love or hate this thing, so I figured I'd see what the fuss was about. For me, a pretty effortless 1 pass BBS.
Prep - hot shower
Soap - A di P
Brush - 2011 SOC LE, size 2, 2 band
Razor - Tradere SB, Gillette 7 O'Clock blade
Post - cold water, alum, Kiehl's lotion
EDT - Creed, Millessime Imperial

The day: Bright, windy, and cold -17ºC. The Shave: Finally..this razor is a honing problem. No tape but a lot of cussing! It is shaving well now but has asked a lot to do so. The shave ended up as being the first good shave from this blade.! VdH is my go to for protection..glycerin added for moisture and slick. The Russian Don Juan is a great aftershave!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker
