Razor | Burrell Top Flight | Soap | Mike’s Natural Pine and Cedarwood | After Shave | D.R.Harris Bay Rum
Nice shave with the Burrell this morning. This razor is always as sharp as sharp can be. I’m seeing a lot of Mike’s Natural Soap here lately. I’ve only tried the Pine and Cedarwood, which is nice.
On the way to work I saw some sheep traipsing along a path in a paddock. The sun was low behind them; and golden. As each sheep trudged along her legs were surrounded by a little cloud of golden dust lit by the sun. On rounding a bend I came across a whole line of sheep trudging the path; the golden dust cloud extending in a thick golden line hovering several feet from the ground.
It’s SO dry at the moment, there’s no grass at all on the ground, it’s almost entirely bare, we haven’t had any real rain now for months.
The sheep seem sick to death of the whole scenario, but sheep ALWAYS seem sick to death of the whole scenario. Cows don’t. Cows don’t really give a shit. Except in the morning. When it’s cold. When they complain about everything. Crows don’t complain. They lament. In a really depressed manner, as if they’re only a day or two away from ending it all. Magpies never complain, they’re always happy, kangaroos don’t complain either. Kangaroos are rather sarcastic animals. They look at you out of the corner of their eyes in a really disdainful way. Kangaroos are rather ‘up themselves’. They look at you KNOWING they could bash your brains out if they wanted to, but they can’t really be bothered right now. Echidnas are always scared. Sad and scared. Very depressed little fellows. I feel that I want to help them. But they just want to be left alone...

A fella at work gave me this wax yesterday. Although it lacks the bulletproof hold of Wacky Tacky, the wax is much softer and smells like a spruce forest or a Christmas tree lot. The label art is also outstanding.

Comments :
The brush is breaking in nicely. The pungent odour it gave off when I'd wet it for the first time is disappearing, to my relief. It's a belting lather maker, and has the right amount of stiffness for my tastes. All that for less than £2... you can keep your £100's silvertips, thanks all the same.
I felt like giving the old (!?) Canon 350D a run for this photo, along with its "kit" lens... and it shows. The "kit" lens just can't cut it anymore. Normal service shall be resumed.
