The DAY? Windy and getting warmer <17ºC. The Shave? A close and pleasant shave this morn. The DD has a good edge. The Lavanda, I had almost forgotten about. A nice zing even though flowery. The Essence is an almost overpowering spice. I use one small spritz on a wet hand to apply it. A nice start to a bright day.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

Soap/Cream: TOBS Sandalwood

Finally gave my newest razor a go. I wanted to see how the edge actually was before I stropped it. All I can say is dear sweet merciful straight razor in heaven! I am so glad that I got the SRP razor. It is my new favorite! The edge was perfect. Also the smile left my neck smoother than I have ever gotten. And with less effort. When I buy blades in the future they are going to have to smile. The only downside is I don't like the box. But that really isn't a downside since I am building a seven day box for all my odd lengths of razors. Soon my Hart and Williams will have a nice home to rest along side the Mappins and Rodgers.

Well, I got a nice gift from Australia and I want to say "thank you" to my Aussie mate Carl ... I think (I use it as a purse for coins). I really like the shape of this razor, totally non Swedish in it's design, but this maker used to like to make them not like other Swedish brands razors :D

Managed to work in a relaxing and luxurious Saturday morning shave (and nick the lobe with the nose of the blade) in the midst of training our new charge: a 9-week old Shepherd pup we acquired a day and a half ago through fortuitous events.
Have a great Saturday!

Patiently waiting for the return of my daughter. Her flight was delayed for 2.5 hours in Zurich. Poor kid was stuck on the airplane and now has to endure another 9 hour flight time.
In honor of her return I made fresh Gnocchi in sausage/crushed tomato sauce so she can have a nice dinner when she gets home.
Hot shower, and a nice relaxing shave:
Warm Oil
Dirty Bird Scuttle
Taylor of Old Bond Street Lemon Lime Shave cream
Custom badger brush in Macasser ebony body with a Lignum Vitae top cap by pixelfixed.
10/8 Wade and Butcher, Horn Scales, Brass wedge by RW
Roo Strop by Mic
Razorock Aluminum
Pinaud Bay Rum
What can I say except the WB is so heavy it glides right through the whiskers.
Enjoy the day.

No shave for me today. I went for a hike instead this morning and now my knee feels pretty crap. I'll rest it tomorrow and hopefully all will be well.

Lesson learned, the stash is just too long for wash it out and brush it out (Wilford Brimley style) and requires wax (especially when I plan on eating.) I took the fetching Mrs. GI to lunch and left with enough soup in my mustache to make another meal. Needless to say she was impressed.

You can use their arms as back scratchers, too...
Yes, they are meant to be used as coin purses. Funny story, I went to the shop where they sell them, and all sorts of leather goods. I was looking around and a young lady came up to me and asked if I wanted some help. Initially I said I was just looking; but then I couldn't find them.
So I said, "Umm, I'm looking for a leather coin purse made out of a kangaroo's..., ummm..." "Scrotum?" she says. "Yes" said I. I felt rather uncomfortable.
I do believe I have seen one somewhere. Maybe Mick could make you one? He could include them as bonus items to his kangaroo hide strops...
{EDIT} here they are, with a bottle opener too. So you can sit there scratching your arse and drinking. I mean really, what else IS there to life? That's everything right there...

Dammit Carl!! Why did you have to show me this!!?? I'm a sucker for crap like this, I found one site that had them for 43.$, and I had all but talked myself out of it. Now, you find one a bit cheaper, and choices to boot. Just the scratcher or the scratcher church key combo? Then again, the croc foot one is cool too. The last thing I bought online from your neighbor place down there, where some possum fur nipple warmers from NZ. They made great Christmas gifts. Awesome gifts, the nipple warmers!! The gals I gave them to couldn't say they already had one, and they were quite pleased with them. I might have to say no this time, I've got some bills that are probably more important.
