Lukewarm Shower, C.V. Heljestrand Mk4, VDH Boar, Cella, Skin Bracer, La Toja Manatiales AdC, Stache Bomb
Great shave. This razor is absolutely amazing. 20 on canvas, 60 on leather and it feels like its fresh off the stone every single shave. I really like the Manatiales cologne too. It was gifted to me by a friend at work (a Spaniard who had made a visit home). I'll definitely refill this when it's empty. The trimmed stache is fantastic. In fact wax is optional, I can wash it out and brush it out and it kind of jumps into a loose handlebar configuration by itself without a couple pounds of hair hanging in front of my gob. Hope the last trimming wasn't just a fluke. I'd like to be able to keep it like this without messing it up in the process of trimming it.
PS: I paid $8 for this razor at a flea market several years ago. Since then I've done nothing to it but hone it, maybe twice. Got my 1960 Fatboy at the same flea market for $4. Haven't seen a razor worth buying at the place since.

Notes: A good shave, 2-pass and a touch, near BBS, little alum sting. First razor I'd finished on a Suehiro Gokumyo 20k and it was certainly keen enough.
Hi all !
Have a nice weekend ;)
I just got this one and I decided to not really restore it,
I just cleaned up and conditioned the scales, Blue Magic and honed the blade.
I was supposed to test out the Genco Head Barber I just got done with as well on this shave,
but the G.W. Pipe just felt so no nice... and left me BBS... c'est la vie

The Day? Mixed weather >9ºC. The shave quick and clean in two. All the players were in the game and it is a winner.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

Informational:
I received the soaps as no cost samples to try them out. You will see this one for a few days as I try it with different shave equipment. I am trying the no scent one to assure my nose is not leading me in a wrong direction. The soaps are made in the USA. Today...the soap has promise!
Beautiful pipe you got there, Mr. Pfries. :tu
