Hot Water Wash, Victorian Scuttle, C.V. Heljestrand Mk4, VDH Boar, Nana June's Citrus Wake-up, Aqua Velva Classic

I bought this Victorian scuttle several years ago in Tarpon Springs. For reasons I can't explain, it's sat quietly on the bench for a long time. I decided its time had come this morning, so I grated my remaining Citrus Wake-up into the top and took my shave outside this morning with a portable mirror. Shaving sitting down is a bit odd but I had a nice 3 pass shave just the same. The Heljestrand performing to its usual standard of excellence
The older I get, the better I was

I started the summer solstice off with a nice day fishing in the sun. Finished the afternoon off with a Steak on the grill (no good catch unfortunately). Moved inside for the evening and showered off the sunscreen. Decided for a quick shave and ended up having one of the best ones yet. Astringent was some Sazarac and a 2 finger pour of Thomas H. Handy. Although I think I applied it incorrectly since it went into my liver and not on the face.

Today: Warm and partly sunny. The shave? Solingen 9/16ths, Inexpensive and good Turkish brush, Green Mountain "Spiced Rum," face lathered, Home made "Bay Rum" to finish with panache!. A great simple shave in two!

Late shave, tweaked the Grelot some, it took awhile but I think I got it nailed. The shave earlier in the day was crap. So bad that I had enough stubble to do a shave tonight. Despite the multiple passes my face was holding up well. Not really any burn when I splashed on the ASL.

    Less is more.
