What are the proper shaving angles for DE?
Not sure of the actual angles, but I think that the easiest way to find it is to put the flat part of the head against your cheek and slowly bring the handle closer to your face until you feel the blade start to cut hair. Seems to work pretty well. Good luck!
The blades are so thin, you'll also be able to hear when you're cutting beard, and if you go too far, you'll probably feel (or see) when you're cutting skin.
Thanks everyone! I just bought a DE and some razors online. Can't wait to they come!
It is amazing... For the cost of razors, bulk at Costco, I bought what I need to get started. Looks like my expenses went from $50 a month to $5.
If I do not like it, I will make another attempt at straight shaving. If I do, I will stick with the DE until I am comfortable with the straight.

It's hard to beat a DE IMO for simplicity, results and cost.
The best shavers, and everyone will have their own favorite, have an intuitive angle of attack. Maybe attack is the wrong word, but you get my drift.
Just got done with my first DE shave. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!
I do not think I have ever had my face this smooth. Easy shave. Maintenance is low as well as cost. I will NEVER pick up a cartridge blade again.
I can't believe this thing went out of style!
Thanks all for your help! Hope to talk more with you on the forum.

As noted, place the razor flat at your side burn, lower the handle until the blade touches your skin, and that is the general angle you want. Also, shave with your wrist locked so that you maintain the angle.
