    Default Birth Year Tech

I happened across my Birth Year Ball End Tech and snatched it up. I won't be using it for a while, but will look forward to shaving with a razor as old as I am. It cleaned up well too.

nice one! have you just polished that or had it replated?

I just boiled it and then used Scrubbing Bubbles, Flitz, and Scrubbing Bubbles again, then buffed with micro fiber cloth.

Those Axis deer are pretty easy to tame..........especially in pillow form. For the meat eaters, they taste great too.

    Soap: Stirling Spice
Razor: ’50 Birth Year Gillette Ball End Tech
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Black Badger
    Aftershave: Shulton Old Spice

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

I loaded up my Birth Year Tech again today. This was only my 4th shave with it. I put in a new Gillette Silver Blue and lathered up with Stirling Spice. I had a great shave! 1950 was a good year! I finished with some real Shulton Old Spice.

I have just Googled the Old Spice issue and realise that a can of worms may well ensue, feel free to ignore the question of difference, I do not want to hijack the thread. Less controversially that's a beautiful job you have made of a super razor thanks for sharing.

No problem at all. The new P&G formula is a bit more "flowery" smelling, not as robust as the original. I just prefer the original version..........3 generations in my family.

Diesel-I also should have mentioned that you can still get the original Shulton Old Spice on ebay from Indian vendors. My understanding is that the contract to make it ran out and all new OS from India will be P&G before too long. I plan on stocking up. They ship in plastic bottles, so you may want to transfer it to a glass bottle/s.

Pulled out the Tech again today.........

I used the Stirling Blu to lather up with. They gave up another great shave. I finished with Krampert’s Bay Rum…always a winner!

I got my Gillette Platinums. I will try them Monday to compare with the GSB.
