Real Good Shave- Almost
I was going to town with my Edwin Jagger after trying Joe Lowett pre shave oil, which worked great. I did not get one cut and I was kinda nervous. I was using Pre de Provence shaving crème for the first times and it worked great. All of a sudden I heard a crash and looked in the floor and their was my new ceramic shaving bowl in a dozen pieces. I see now why they have them in steel and plastic. O well, I will get to look on the bay again. Live and learn.

Don't feel bad. I was using my limited edition Oskar Scuttle from Germany and as I was cleaning it it slipped from my grip and fell into the sink. it was only a few inches but the handle shattered. The bowl itself is fine but the handle is gone and the piece sticking out is as sharp as a razor and trying to file it down makes it worse.

Up date. I was looking on the bay last night and found a silver maple wood bowl on their that was something to behold. It was hand made by a guy in PA in 1994. I have never seen as a nice of piece of wood. It looks like gold. It is not a shaving bowl per se, but the wood looked so nice I had to buy it. The lady had another left if anyone is interested. Maybe this one won't break as easy as the ceramic. Can't wait to get it.

Go to WallyWorld and get a small candy bowl goblet for about 3 bucks. The flanged out base serves as a perfect handle, and the bowl allows for more swirling action than a mug.

Go to your kitchen cabinet and get an old coffee mug...
