    Default Schick Injection Razors

Hello all, praying everyone is having a good day. I went to the flea market today in search of some SR's. Found nothing but those cheap $10 straight razors so I passed on those. i did however buy 2 Schick Injection Razors which I think are pretty cool. I paid $5 for both and the G1 came with the case and a cartridge full of razors. Not sure how good they work, but I figured for a couple bucks they are at least a cool collection piece. I think I'll give the G1 a try tonight and see how it shaves.

They're both nice razors -- the long-handled one is a superb shaver (not that the G-1 is lacking anything in that department).

For what it's worth, I would advise you to not use those injector blades -- you can get new, fresh ones easily enough, for not a lot of money... and I'd wait on using either razor, until you've had the chance to properly disinfect them. Please; don't take chances with infection.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I bought a NOS injector about a year ago. I love that razor.

That said, the NOS blades were awful! Try them if you like, but get some new blades and try them too. The new blades were night and day compared to the NOS blades.

    Edit:
    Nice score!

Thanks JB, I thought about that right before I started shaving. I decided to use my new Red Injun instead, which by the way was a very nice shave. I love my Robeson Suredge, but the Red Injun is awesome! Where can I get what I need to properly disinfect the razors?

Here's a good thread about cleaning a Schick injector razor.

    JaimeCobos,

Both your razors (for me) shave beautifully

A note : feeding the blades from some of the new Injector packs can be a little fiddly as the alignment can be a bit off. Just needs a little fiddling

    Have fun !

    Best regards

Did I say injection? I meant injector, haha. Used the G1 tonight and it worked great. Glad I got it as I was gonna pass on them. The guy had another white handled one and one with a turquoise handle, both with no case. I think I might just go back and get the turquoise handled one.

I had a G-1 like that for a while. It was an awesome razor. Like PhatMan said, some of the new blades are a little fiddley. My razor wasn't in perfect shape, and too often it was way too easy for me to imagine splitting my thumb in half trying to load it. So I sold it. It was such a great razor thought, I really need to find another one...........
