Default Looking for a Guide to DE Shaving....

This may be addressed elsewhere.. but I'm having a little difficulty locating a thorough guide on DE Shaving.. I would really like to see something with Video's like here on SRD....

I just ordered a DE89BA11 (From SRD, to support all the info I've gleaned off this site. .. )as I find that I don't always have time for a SR shave. and need something a little speeder.. Being military, sometimes I'm shaving at 3am before having to be up at 6am so 45 minutes for a shower and shave isn't always on the menu.. I just ran out of blades for my standby 5 bladed pain stick and decided to upgrade..

Direction would be helpful... As Tuesday I will be exploring yet another facet of this hobby..

Mantic is who I learned from. His videos are entertaining too, as he sprinkles them with humor. Congratulations on the selection of the EJ DE89, those are great razors...mild yet efficient.

I'd think the experience you have from cartridges and straights would cover everything you need to know. The DE doesn't clog the way a cartridge can and is far easier to buff with than a straight.

Thank you for your help... I've searched both the mantic58 and geofatboy, great info ! Got what I think I needed... Didn't need much info as all my prep and post will stay the same...adjusting slightly as I'm gonna go to face lathering during the week and workdays that fall on the weekends..... I will still keep the straights in the rotation.. But shift to the DE on days needing a speeder shave and when underway... Thanks again..
