Studio blades from Walgreens
Guys,
New to this whole game but I've always been interested in sharpened steel. I had my first straight razor shave a few weeks ago at "The Art of Shaving", (including my head). It was a Father's Day gift. The face shave felt awesome but the head shave could have been closer. I'm anal about BBS on my skull and my "standard" shave is multiple passes with a "Head Blade". For whatever reason I've always looked at shaving as a chore, to hurry up and get done. Now I can appreciate the grounding effect of taking this time for me, ( I must be getting older, lol).
I've decided to first try DE shaving, with my grandfather's adjustable DE. I don't know the brand, just that it is an adjustable and it was his..... My question is about the "Studio" brand blades sold at Walgreens. I haven't purchased one of the sampler packs yet, as y'all recommend. Last night my honey showed up with a Studio five pack. She knew I was looking for blades locally but hadn't had much luck. I wanted to know if any of you have tried these blades and what you would compare them to?
Sorry for the rant, I'm just excited about getting started with this.
thanks
