Default DE shaving; any ladies use a brush? men's creme/soap?

I recently converted my wife to DE shaving. She loves it.

Yesterday, we were shaving at the same time and she said she ran out of gel, so I had a brush loaded with TOBS St. James and gave it to her. She brushed it on and used it to shave her legs. Both of us are amazed. they have never been smoother! She now wants me to buy her TOBS avacado, as she thinks this will work well.

    any ladies have similar experience?
do any ladies use a brush?

    just asking.

Good for you! My wife let me shave her legs, and she said they were never smoother. But apparently it didn't matter, there was to much effort and (in her mind) no time to use a DE. This is after I got her a Merkur Long handle and made her a shave brush...........I don't touch her legs anymore the DE just spoiled it for me.......... J/K
So I'm glad it's working out for you!

Well, I just started DE shaving, myself back in March of this year. I bought a Merkur long-handle. When my wife tried it, a few weeks ago, she stole it from me, because of how well it worked. Now its hers. I bought a few vintage Gillette DEs (1949, 1966) that I now use.

She tried my St. James and loved the results. However, each leg took a loaded brush, so she would run through the cream about 2X as fast as I do, so she may run through it in 6 weeks. still not bad.

I saw on another forum that eshave.com has brushes that are great for women because of the long handle.

She may brush, but I dont think she will use a bowl or anything, since it takes more time.

I love shaving with a brush! My first brush was a silver tip badger with a pink handle. Now, I have several brushes that I love in a variety of styles.

Well, she is still shaving with the DE and loving it. I did purchase some TOBS Avocado. It does smell a bit 'girly'. She says she likes it, but still prefers the St. James. She gave ma a parker brush for my BD, so she is now using first brush (escalli). the handle is a bit small, though. I will get her a longer handled brush.

Question.......do the ladies here that use a brush, leave it in the shower where it stays wet all day? She was a bit worried about that.

Its best to always rinse an dry your brush, after every shave
I believe that if you leave it in the shower overnight, you should be good. Try to avoid submerging in water for long periods of time.

    Happy shaving!
