    Send an email to the manufacturer with these pictures and see what they have to say. I had some chrome peeling off the head, and they sent me a replacement piece promptly. Edwin Jagger is a good company, and took care of my issue. I also have a stainless Weber. Both will outlive me...

    Edwin Jagger got back to me after a day or so and said they will replace the razor. That's awesome. I'm glad to see they stand behind their product.
    I'm so satisfied with this I think I'm going to buy one for my brother.

    I love my DE89. Mine is a "frankenrazor", as I put the handle of a Feather Stainless on it.

    Happy end with that DE



    Just in case that this happens to another who wants to keep it: a guy with metal lathe can fix it quickly
    A new screw in the head 9a cover to the old one plus some mm length added and a new bold in the handle (after cleaning the old)
    Then the razor is back to action !

    My replacement razor arrived all the way from sunny Sheffield! So I am back in business. They even sent me some samples.

    My brother had his first shave and didn't heed my advice. He used the Feather blades to start with and he applied way too much pressure. I guess most people give themselves razor burn at least once... Hopefully he will be back in action in a couple of days.

    I think I'll give him the additional Derby blades and the sample products from Edwin Jagger.
