    Default Vintage Personna DE blades

Came across a part pack of vintage stainless steel Personna blades the other day. Having read on here and other forums that people really like them generally I picked them up. They were made during the time Philip Morris owned the Personna American Safety Razor Company, 1961-1977. They were the first to make a stainless steel DE blade in 1963. The blades are marked Made in Great Britain.

Stuck them in a very nice shaving British made Gillette TTO this for mornings shave not knowing what to expect. End result was a very smooth and seemingly close shave. As good a result as I have had with modern DE blades in this particular DE. I guess they knew what they were doing way back and we may have not come all that far ahead in the intervening years.

All in all a pleasant surprise capped off with a splash of Vintage Stetson AS.
