Thread: Gillette black beauty - plastic or metal handles ?

I found Razor Emporium's homepage last night, very nice and informative just as Badger and Blade you linked to - will keep on reading for sure.

The super adjustable was marked V3 so I guess it was made between July to the end of September.

Bought my Black Beauty back in the 70's, (lost my Fat Boy traveling) It gave me great shaves up until 2012 when the adjustment broke trying to adjust to Dollar store blades, Stores stopped selling my Wilkinson Sword blades. Even though it had a plastic head base I felt that it was well balanced and fit my hands perfectly. Sadly I could not find a DE razor in any stores here in Maine, after a year of carts I finally went on line to buy a razors and supplies. Thankfully a few months ago I found a Gillette Slim Adjustable for $12 in excellent shape.
