that is alled the mongoose, it is a brand new razor made in very small batches and have to be ordered months in advance, its kind of like the cobra. its completely made of stainless steel and is a cross between a straight and a safety it takes kai and feather pro blades so the head is wide it is heavy and i completed my first shave with it tonight head and face. it is surprisingly mild with a close as heck smooth shave with no pressure and no burn

And did you see that tub of arko sneaking in the backgrown????? Everone knows you cant trust a guy who uses that pitiful excuse for a shave soap!!!! :dropjaw:
Gentlemen,
Civility, please.
The Mongoose is a new "single" edge safety razor. Everyone with whom I have spoken seems to like it, and some prefer it over the Cobra, it's older competitor. That the Mongoose uses the long single edge blades used in the Feather and similar straight razors with replaceable blades, the shave head is quite long and covers more space on the face. Some shavers like this feature. Although I do not have the Mongoose, I have used it and found it to be a good shaver. Some call it a moderately aggressive razor, although quite smooth.
Curious to how well it maneuvers. I've not used it. While I like the blade choice I am wondering how well it does around the ears an under jaw line. Seems a bit bulky to me.
This is actually a very nice razor. I definitely prefer it over the Cobra without question. It is a heavy razor, but it takes no time to get used to it. It maneuvers well and the shaves are top notch!
Have fun.
Strange, but I cannot find a link to the manufacturer.....is there a secret code to put in somewhere?
I believe I read on another forum that you have to order one through BullGoose Shaving Supplies - Traditional Wetshaving, Razors, Brushes and Men's Grooming by emailing them.

Agree....precision & aesthetics...what could be wrong with that? And I have used Feather Blades in my short handled Merkur Progress..I dropped it once and it has a small chip (which has no effect on it's shaving qualities....but I have a ready made excuse to replace it if I really need one).
