Guerrilla Razor by Wolfman
Gentlemen,
Guerrilla razor by Wolfman is an odd sort of duck. With the blade pins located on the base plate instead of the usual top cap, and a rotund handle that is hollow, one can only wonder what James had in mind in designing this razor. Yet, I can't help but like the razor. I like it exactly the way it is.
The rotund handle not only adds character to the razor, but it also serves to give it good balance. And no, there is nothing slippery about the handle despite its mostly smooth surface. I will not change the handle, because in doing so, I would detract from the razor's personality. And it does have a big personality. Leave it alone, is what I say.
Overall, the Guerrilla has a spartan look in its matt finish, with clean lines and the right amount of weight. For the shave, I would put the razor on the lower rung of mid-aggressive. The blade feel is mild and the shave smooth. Quite smooth, I might add, although that characteristic might lull the shaver into excessive razor strokes over certain spots, which could result in skin irritation.
The Guerrilla would make a good daily shaver, I think, with a sweet spot that is easy to find. Three passes and some cleanup does it for me with this razor. Whether it is a keeper, I don't know yet.
