Thread: Grocery store find

Good afternoon SRP Fam! Hey I found a brand of safety razor blades at my local Winn-Dixie grocery store. The label reads “Top Care made in Germany”. Does anyone know who manufactures these? Thanks in advance.

These are made in Israel.
Guess they source them from wherever they are available.

Wonder if they are made by the Israeli Personna plant?

From what I know, their personna. CVS drug stores sell the same.

I bought some back in June, when my thumb got chewed up, and couldn't use my straights. I have no complaints.

I wonder if that's a regional thing because I have not seen them in the CVS stores here. Of course I have not looked for them specifically.

I don’t find them comparable to the Personna Lab Blue, which is my blade of choice in my DE’s. At least with what my local cvs carries.

I have compared the Med Prep’s and Lab Blues quite a bit and don’t find any appreciable differences.

The generic Israel made blades I’ve used go dull more quickly. They only provided me one good shave then the next was mediocre, so on. I threw them away after one use after playing with them for a bit. The personna LB are sharper, smoother and give me a comfortable shave for 3-4 shaves, then I toss them.
