Not me. I use a straight that's always sharp and smooth.
No, never have.
Bob
If it did I would not use a straight. Oh and I saved so much money on replacement blades that I will have to live to 163 to break even.
Er yep!
Killed a few perfectly good edges so I could learn to set a bevel and hone.
I've had a some eye watering shaves, huge learning curve.
Must be a cartridge razor. I hope your father taught you better than to use one of those things. :nj:
By the way, welcome to SRP.
Not since I learned to shave properly with any razor.
Welcome to SRP. introduce yourself. Tell us about your equipment. We love pictures. Beautiful Straight Razor Porn is standard around here.
Hmm, I think that dude with the manboobs would have issues walking down the street.
Well, I'm a bit late to that party, but here goes: Hello all, for the sake of internet anonymity I tend to go by D. I live in Florida and have a modest collection of shavettes and safety razors, though I'm about to work on building a collection of straight razors as well. I'm a bit inexperienced on the subject (typewriters are more my area of expertise) but I'm looking to learn a thing or two here. I would venture to guess that I'm within the first percentile for age here, but hey, it's never too early to learn. I have no pictures to share yet, but I will soon.
D.
Welcome to the forum ‘D’
Oh I see. Witness protection, you rat out a mob boss or something
Not exactly. Remember how Blackberry phones and PDAs went out of style? I did that. You can understand why I'm still in hiding.
No that ain’t it either, they went out cause they were useless,
Welcome. And age is not a big thing around here. When you get so old you donate all of your shaving equipment to the forum for the giveaway, then your old. But not forgotten.
Im sure we have a few young men under 50. But not many. The blackberry? Must have been one of those things that came out when I was saying " its all a fad and will go away so I aint playing yet". Now let me go in the kitchen to get the phone as it is attached to the wall.
