That’s what I thought exactly when I first saw this contraption.

Whoever designed this ghastly thing must have been on an extended wash room break when they discussed the concept of “form follows function”.
I consider this thing a total ergonomic flop, as the V-shaped handle makes twisting movements (e.g. when following the yaw line) needlessly cumbersome.

Did anybody notice that on their site the Hype video just shows a fleeting moment of shaving the cheek and that a slightly longer moment only shows a straight up movement with no twisting required?

There is a sound reason that safety razor handles have been in the shape of a pole since old Gillette brought us the safety razor.


Futuristic shapes that defy ergonomics are just not for me.


But at least it’s aptly named…
