Lets see what Safety razors you have.
As was said in the other thread, a Safety Razor is something we should all have in our collection for when the time comes for medical reasons or just getting too old to handle our Straight Razors safely. I will always enjoy using a Straight Razor, but I have a good-sized collection of Safety Razors too. I've wanted to be able to use all types of razors consistently. Being able to switch between each and every razor in my collection.
So post up some pics of "any" Safety Razor you own. Tell us about it. Or ask questions you might have about it. I will post some pics starting at my earliest and try to work my way up through the years. Not only do I have Vintage Gillettes but I have Gem Razors and Schick Razors. Then a bunch of the newer razors made today.
So let's see what you have. This Sub-Forum has gone a little stagnant so I just want to bring it back alive. And maybe we might get a few newer members who haven't graduated to the Straight and still use a Safety Razor.
So I guess I will start with Two Gem razors. These use the SE blade that looks like what you would use to scrape a sticker off of Glass. But the blades you actually use are different.
The 1912 Gem. These were made for a few years so I'd say mine could be 1919 or 1924. At least that is the best I've been able to figure out. If you know better please speak up. These are not the Damaskeene that were made before these. I don't own one yet. The fist one is Silver plated and the second is Brass. It may have been plated at one time. I've always loved the design on the handles.

Keep in mind that all of my razors are user-grade. I don't have a single razor in my collection that I don't/wont use.
So let's see what you have.
