I've been using the Merkur blades exclusivly for 2+ years (switched to a straight a while back, but still use the Merkur Futur when I'm in a hurry). They give me the smoothest shave I can think of, based on my sense of touch.

Astra Superior Platinum (= Russian Gilette), the best DE blades I know, YMMV of course. Source: Barber Depot, $11 for 100 blades, + shipping.
Israeli Personnas. I get them off eBay or www.vintageblades.com
I use mainly Feather blades, my 2nd blade I would reach for is an Astra made by Gillette in Russia. Both are superb blades, cut well, last a while and are nicely priced even though high end in terms of blades.
I used a blade I got in a sampler pack from Shave Nation while back today, doesn't reflect SN's quality or anything at all mind you...but these blades feel very uncomfortable while shaving though they get the job done. Big Ben blades aren't my forte, and the only blade I can say I dislike using.
As for source...I generally buy Feather 100 blade packs on ebay when I find a good deal which is often, ebay is a good place to find deals in bulk. I just got a 100 pack from Thailand, the black and white Feathers from Japan.Weird to shop over seas from this country as there are so many customs!
