It is a No. 58 - v. nice razor, made in the 50's
In very nice shape to, worth some cash.
More than 30 €? :D
Yes. The No. 58 has gained in value as the other British Gillettes such as the No. 66 have gone up in value and gotten harder to obtain. Yours is in a correct box in good shape, and isn't missing any plating. On eBay would generally go for around $65 - $100 US.
Like all the British Gillettes, they are good shavers, too.
If I am not mistaken the 58 is essentially the same as a heavy duty double ring rocket with a different knurling on the handle. Both being one of the best models Gillette turned out.
Well, let's see how this goes. hopefully I can get it cheap! :)
I saw one of these go for 125 USD over at SMF... :D
Good luck, but most DE wet shavers know that the #58 is a desirable razor. I sold mine on ebay in a fit of stupid some time back for $125. They are superb shavers and very attractive. I also sold a excellent gold 66 (the buyer put in his display case) and a pristine Coronation 66 that later changed hands for $500 . May as well sell the rest of the DEs now for all the use they receive.
Here are some pics of my #58 that my wife found at a flea market last summer - purchase price including the $1 admissio to the flea market ---> $6.00 :D:

Damn that's pretty! Hope mine cleans up that nice if I win it! :)
And now it's mine, MUAHAHAA!!! :D
Okay, I got it on Wednesday, a real looker, the razor looks like it's never been used, and the case is quite mint as well! :D Now I just need the blade pack!
Pics are due later today! :D
PS. It shaves great as well, maybe a bit to mild with Swedes, but that might not be so bad considering I'm intending to use it if I have to shave in a hurry some morning! :D
Okay, here's the promised pic, took a while with all my post-processing... :D

Nice work Stuggi, that's just beautiful. :tu
To me, the British Gillettes of the 1950s and American Gillettes of the 1920s are the pinnacle of DEs, almost artwork.
Yeah, mine cleans up just like that one, the plating on these are amazing, there's a bit of a dispute going on whether or not these are nickel or rhodium plated, but I'm quite sure that the earlier ones are Rhodium due to the color, feel and shine of the plating.
