I have a handful of Gillette Superspeeds of various vintages,
and they're all slightly different (but great) shavers. I'm not
a big fan of the Tech or other 3 piece razors, but the Merkur
HD and Slant are good as well.

Merkur HD or Gillette Red Tip. Best shaves from both of those razors. I prefer the HD.

I switch between a Gillette slim and a Merkur barberpole slant. I use the slims on mornings when I'm in a rush (or hungover) and when I have time to slow down for a very close shave I use the slant.

+1 on trying different blades, if you haven't done so already.
