    Default razor cracks?

i know this isnt a straight razor but i found a 1931 brass gillette saftey razor in an antique shop for 3 dollars and when i took it home took it apart and cleaned it when i put the parts back in the handle it made a small hair line crack in the handle i both sides

it still gives a good shave but the end part gets loose evey once and a while

dose anyone know why this happend and how i can prevent this from cracking further or if i can reapair it at all

Without seeing pictures, I am going to go out on a limb and say that you likely bought a NEW. Cracks in the handles are an not uncommon occurrence on these. You have a couple of options - use as is but keep an eye on the crack or mix up some epoxy and using a syringe, apply it to the crack trying to get as much into the crack as possible.

By the end part, do you mean the knob end? If so, with some gentle persuasion, you should be able to pull it out of the handle and epoxy it back in place (if it spins in the handle, it will come out ... if it doesn't spin, it may not ... do not force it).
