    Default Feather Injector

    Has anyone tried this razor?

Looks pretty cool. Not cheap for sure.

The only injector I have tried has been the old Schick with the bakelite handles and they are really nice shavers. This one looks like it would be similar.

    Thanks,

    Lynn

    Thanks!!

Doesn't appear that many folks have tried these. Bills comments are good enough for me though.

"ichabod" on shavemyface tested them, and said they were very good. I think he said you have to be careful because the blade head is so long (because tthe feather blades are so long) so they can bite you if you aren't careful, unlike a schick injector which is sized for shaving comfort rather than sized to fit a feather blade.

Also be carefuly, they don't work for both of the feather disposable type, only the pro I think (not the super).

Lynn, if you like the older more aggressive injectors, you will probably like the cobra classic too.

They offer great shaves. They are hefty and solid. The loading of the blades can sometimes be a pain, but as far as safety razors go, they are one of my favorite shavers

They only take the pro guard and pro blades. The super professional blades do not fit these razors.

EDIT, I am pretty sure the pro guard blades fit. The Pro blades fit for sure, and the super pros do not fit.

Funny...mine only takes the Super Pro blades?? Of course I attacked mine with a dremel as soon as I got it. I prefer the Supers so that's all I had on hand at the time and I'm not that good with delayed gratification.

Lynn, I'll give you mine to try the next time I see you.

Not exactly. I ground the two projections that hold the blade in place (the cutting surface rests against them) until the Super Pros fit and the latch would close. I would estimate that I removed somewhere between 1/32" and 1/16". It took no more than 10 minutes and the Super Pro blades fit perfectly. The Pro blades probably don't fit anymore, but given that I prefer the Supers it really doesn't matter to me.
