I, too, agree that Feathers are good blades. Out of all of the blades I have sampled since shaving with a DE, I think they are the best (by far).

I still use a de if in a rush and because i have soo many of them, so at least once a week i will use a de, what i find is the quickness of the shave which before i took up a straight i thought took ages.
noogs,
You are quite right; using a DE now and again is a most pleasant change.
I use my English Gillette 88, 'E' Model Schick and Muhle-Pinsel R109 probably once a month each.
If anything, I have found that my straight shaving has improved my DE shaving quite a bit; very light pressure and correct angles are directly transferrable from the straight to the DE shave.
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ
I DE/SE'd for 2 years and went pretty quick with em..upgraded to a large 7/8 and a month into it...NO razor burn anywhere to be seen!..I always got some marks from ANY DE/SE blade..no problema with my str8 razor!...Just a thought!

I have been into wet-shaving for over a year now and use a DE most of the time I have a nice collection of straight razors; and enjoy using them sometimes; but a DE is my go-to razor For me; straight razor shaving is a treat for occasions when I have enough time to use them I don't have the steadiest hands; and the coffee I drink in the morning exacerbates that quirk I think the important point is that; in wet-shaving there is something for almost everyone regardless of out individual limitations!
Dunno about de/se other than touchups til I train my hands with my str8 razor for bbs shaves
