Default Here we go again another one bites the de

So I am a straight up straight razor lady but de razor have caught my curiosity . And I have lost my touch when it comes to shaving the pits so now I will try a de.
I bought 4 I believe all are de razors 3 I do not know about and 1 I know and have found out its a boggier to get razor blades for. Live and learn.

As far as I know the three are Gillette not sure what year and model. The brass I don't know came in super speed box but I have a feeling that not what it is. The one with the white handle never seen one with a white plastic handle so I bought it. Last one I could of sworn I have seen it on a discussion but the handle is so cool. Also that one came in a box but not sure it goes with it. How do you know if that razor goes to that box? I know comb de are a hit and I like them just haven't found the one well I did but its the boggier.
Also how much is to much to pay for a de or se razor? Oh and I saw a Gillette and it had underneath the numbers 1932. Does 1932 mean year or is that model? Thanks everybody that answer I am new to de so thanks.

I don't blame you on the pits. Nanna switched to DE for pits, but I am working on a pit razor for her that is shorter and very rounded on the point.

ya I was fine for awhile and then one day I had too many cuts so I don't know. If I ever find a straight small I am on it. I love to see your results.

I just turned a broken str8 into a shorty. I have not tried it on pits yet, But I will give it a go and let you know.
I will post pictures of it some time next week if I get enough time.
I think its a great idea to re-purpose old broken blades like that.

    Hello Amber:

The gold one's a ball-end Tech, not very uncommon but a nice example and a reliable mild shaver. Second one: black handled 50s Superspeed unless anyone corrects me, again a reliable shaver, but with a touch more bite. And finally, that's a Slim/Twist, circa 1970. I had one briefly but passed it on because I loathed the handle - usual nice Gillette shaving action, somewhere between the other two in terms of aggression. My choice from that lot would be the Tech based on looks, and the SS for efficiency. Sorry, don't know anything at all about boxes, but I'm just filling in till someone who really knows their stuff comes along.

They used to have small straight razors intended for use by women as I recall they were called boudoir razors but you rarely ever see them. I wonder what happened to all of them cause just like men at one time had to use a straight to shave women had to use these to trim hair.
