Are there any reviews on this razor?
I think its gorgous. Does anyone know how much it weighs, how it shaves and everything?

I believe that's Truefitt's version of the Chatsworth Barley, popularized by Edwin Jagger. To my eye it appears that the head is a Merkur, although I have nothing to back this up. I guess it could also be an EJ/Muhle Pinsel head..... if true it would shave exactly like the aforementioned brands.
That's a lovely looking razor, you could certainly do worse my friend. Enjoy!
I used one that looked similar to that but with a black handle. It had a very nice hefty feel, and it delivered in the shave department.
I think you'll be very happy with that. Enjoy :beer1:
Gentlemen:
Yes, indeed, that is the Edwin Jagger "barley" dressed up in Truefitt & Hill. It's not only a beautiful double edge razor, it is also a beautiful shave. You can tell the Muhle-Pinsel shave head. The Pastor, sir, that is an excellent choice.
Regards,
Obie
Thank you very much. Whats the "muhle-pinsel" shave head ?
I suppose you are refering to this razor?:

How is the head different from This Edwin Jagger?

Hello, The Pastor:
As I understand it, the English Edwin Jagger double edge razors use the shave heads designed by the German Muhle-Pinsel. That is unless further changes have taken place recently of which I am not aware. In essence, then, the Edwin Jagger razors are produced by a joint venture with Muhle-Pinsel.
To my knowledge, the Edwin Jagger Chatsworth and the 89 series use the same shave heads as the Muhle 89R. I have all three, the Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" barley (mine is the lined version, which I prefer), the 89L and the Muhle 89R. They are sweet shavers and I love all three. The Edwin Jagger 89 in your photo is the chrome version. I suggest buying the lined version (89L) for better traction on the handle.
You won't go wrong with these razors.
Regards,
Obie
Not much left to add here.
I guess the EJs are considered the most advanced design for DE's at the present time. I have the chatsworth barley and agree get the lined version. I find even with the texturing on the handle when wet and soapy it still is a might slippery. I imagine the unlined version could really get away from you.
