Thanked: 67I've used the Merkur blades in a NEW. They were okay, but not great. IN fact, almost every other blade I've tried has been better.
Get your hands on some Feathers, Astra SP, Super Iridium, Gillette yellow, or even Red IP or Treet Dura Sharp and you should notice a big difference.
I'll state here that I know a couple of guys who've preferred the Merkur blades to other brands, but they're in a very small minority.
