    Default EJ89 chrome fault?!

I got my chrome EJ89 yesterday. First shave today - WOW!!!!

AMAZING razor - truly it is.

The chrome finish is magnificint, and the shave one of my best ever.

For the price of 40 US $ only - everybody thats even remotly interested in shaving should get one...

However, on the inside of the head the chrome is scrathed, and there is even a place where the chromed is scratched all the way down to the metal....

Is the acceptable, or should I ask the vendor for a replacement?
Will the razor rust because of this?

Rust won't be an issue because it is brass, corrosion maybe.

I emailed the vendor the pics seen here, and he will send me a new one, no questions asked.

Definately a good vendor! You shouldn't have had to worry to much about it though..my Merkur is basically the same on the inside and I've yet to have a problem after 2yrs.

Though those marks wouldn't affect the functionality of the razor, it is up to the buyer to decide whether it's in acceptable condition for a new product, regardless of cost.

In this case things turned out very well with the vendor. Congrats and enjoy!

A defect is a defect plain and simple. Glad the vendor did the right thing for you.

So my new EJ arrived from the vendor today.

Sadly it also has some scratching at the same place. However its not as bad as with the first one. I have decided that I can live with this, after all its only a 50 $ razor, and the outside finish and the chrome is flawless.

    Here is the second razor:
