    Default Happy To Report

That i was allowed to take my DE + Blades offshore to the rig with me This may seem like something strange to be happy about to the US guys and anyone from anywhere where common sense prevails, but the HSE in the UK is very much of the "Nanny State" type..

It was looking sketchy, but i pointed out that it was in fact a "safety razor" and that that's what the sharps bins present on every accomodation floor of every rig where for. then i got a bit cheeky and said to the security guy at the heliport "seriously, most people would have a hard time cutting themselves with 99% of the cartridge blades that go in sharps bins..". He laughed

So i took out my boar bristle brush, my palmolive cream, and alum block and some body shop mosituriser, will be a breath of fresh air. especially when stubble on my neck gets caught in every piece of velcro going, especially from the life jacket rebreather combo on the chopper.

I think it would be hard for me to even go back to using a DE let alone a cartridge thingy. But if a straight would be out of the question i would be happy to settle for a DE.

At least you didn't have to resort to duct tape to pull your hair off with, or worse; a cartridge razor.
Sounds like a sweet little set up. I just had my first DE shave tonight with a Fatboy that a fine fellow from these forums sent me.
I used my palmolive cream and my Omega pro. Nice little set up. Seems like it will be a great go to set up for travel. Except I skipped on fancy moisturization tonight and went with some old fashioned Pinaud Clubman.

How long are you on the rig for? A fellow I know who works on oil rigs works 2-3 weeks on then 2 weeks off. Seems like a rough schedule

oh now, that's a point of tension with me lol i can do 3 weeks on 3 days off, 2 weeks on, 5 days off etc etc, or think i'm going out for 3 weeks, base my financials on that then only have 5 days work and end up at home for 5 weeks unable to go anywhere because i keep getting told i'm going away at the end of the week.

3 weeks on a 2 weeks off would be a dream come true lol

However i'm suprisingly serene at the moment because i know i can have a decent relaxing shave most days
