Default Cheap shaving kit for air travel

As much as I like my DEs and straights for shaving, they can be a pain to travel with by air. I already knew that I was going to use an Arko shave stick and a brush I had bought a Wally World years ago. The question was what disposable razor would do. Turns out one of the Dollar type stores sells a disposable complete with 5 double bladed replacement heads for, you guessed it, one buck. The brand is Precision made in Israel. Could they be Personna blades? Did a 3 pass shave with that kit this morning and it passed muster. So now for a kit well under $10.00 dollars I don't care if it is lost or stolen and is no hassle in a carry on.

The surprise was that the disposable gave me 90% of what I can get from my Fat Bay or straights shave wise. The cheap disposable gave a close burn and irritation free shave. Not as huge a difference as some would have you believe. OTH getting that extra 10% puts shaving into a whole other and much more pleasant experience. For daily shaving I'll go the extra mile but for traveling I'll take that hit.

It's the old law of diminishing returns.

Certainly is, I found the the same with virtually everything from firearms and cameras and other more important things. OTH there is more to living than just getting the max bang for the buck and that is usually the enjoyment factor. Just so long as you never loose sight of the fact that past a certain point it is no longer a necessity but just enjoyable to have.

That's a good deal with that wouldn't really mind tossing the blades after 2 or 3 uses the few times have to travel.
