Putting all of your razors and DE in your checked baggage is great, sometimes. However, I often have to travel for several hours, and often overnight, and I am required to have a good shave all of the time. However, I have had my soaps and shave creams examined thoroughly in London. I don't recommend keastering it, either, as there may be off-scents associated.
I always make sure there is a wal-mart close. They sell the Wilkinson sword DE blades, and most Pharmacy Stores sell DE and SE blades. I have never had a problem finding blades in a new town. I carry on my double edge when I travel and check the blades with my luggage. Never causes me any problems. Just part of flying I suppose.
